Here starts my blog, which has finally been born at the instigation and inspiration of Bonnie lying on her back in FV Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, far away in Viet Nam. Perhaps a place to vent or share or teach or learn or expound or just be.
Life has taken me from Chicago to Arkansas, back to Chicago and then to Minneapolis and now to northern Minnesota, all of which have been semi-permanent addresses. Many other places in this world have seen my face as I spent many years in the systems and consulting field. This is now called IT – information technology, which is probably pretty appropriate, given my penchant for trivial knowledge of all sorts.
I was born in June, so many, many years ago. My enduring passions are knitting and reading (British mysteries lately) and water color and travel and classical music and crossword puzzles and my baseball Cubs and football Bears, and all sorts of ethnic foods, to identify just a few. The study of European history and languages and geography has often driven my search for esoterica and just plain knowledge.
Appearing from time to time will be Bob (a/k/a DH) and Bonnie (DD) and Michael (DS). Lots of other actors may also show up as needs be. Not sure just what a blog should be, but I expect to learn!
